Please note - this is a pre-order and your items will be made to order. Please read below to understand how it works.

As many people who follow Mae Ceramics on Instagram may know, I love an old, sickly cat. Our home has become a bit of a retirement home for cats who have found themselves in a shelter and have not had luck being adopted.

These bowls are made in the memory of our late Stitchy boy and St. Amos, and in honour of the still spritely Bruiser and Sunshine. All of these sweet boys have been fosters from the brilliant charity that provides shelter and vet care, Celia Hammond Animal Trust (CHAT).

Stitch, Amos, Bruiser and Sunshine are just a handful of cats who've been given an extra  few years of life by CHAT, and they do this for countless other animals too. They neuter, feed and care for stray cats, re-home animals and provide affordable veterinary care for the community. I'm sure they do far more than that too.

All of the profits from these bowls will be donated to CHAT to support them in their ongoing work. If you would like to purchase a bowl, please do. If you wouldn't, but would still like to support the charity, please donate here. You can also check out their Amazon wishlist to help with supplies for the animals in their care.

Note - these pictures show very simlar bowls, but are not the same dimensions as the bowls I will make. The bowls will be wider to avoid whisker fatigue, and a little shorter.

Made with a speckled stoneware clay and food safe glazes.

Handwash is advised, microwaves and ovens are discouraged. Handmade with lots of love in London.

Glaze colour
  • What's glaze? Good question!

It's pretty much just a colour choice for you. Technically, it's a layer of glass, basically, which sits on top of the clay. It adds durability to the piece, but is also a decoration.
